Team Lead / Tech Lead (PHP Laravel backend stack)

Responsibilities

Technical leadership of squad delivery (3 Senior PHP Laravel developers, DevOps, QA)
Collaboration with the Engineering Principal / Transformation Lead
Planning, estimation, code review, and quality oversight
Maturing the team's ways of working
Architectural decisions for the Transformation Squad
Mentoring team members
Reporting status and risks

Requirements

5+ years of commercial PHP/Laravel development experience, including 2+ years as a Tech Lead/Team Lead
Strong PHP/Laravel/MySQL knowledge
Experience leading a team of 4-6 people
Code review experience
Understanding of CI/CD and GCP
Confident English (B2+)

As A Plus

Monolith-to-microservice migration experience
Couchbase/Redis/MongoDB/RabbitMQ
Outsourced/nearshore experience with UK/EU clients
E-commerce/marketplace experience
GCP certifications
